Priyanka Chopra was born in Jamshedpur, Jharkhand state , India . Her father Dr. Ashok Chopra was a surgeon in the army. Priyanka Chopra at Jai Hind College in Mumbai when she won Femina Miss India contest in 2000. She was crowned Miss World 2000 in London. Priyanka Chopra is the fifth to be crowned Miss World. He left his studies midway after winning the beauty and joined the film industry.
Priyanka Chopra first acted in Tamil film "Thamizhan". Her debut Hindi film was "The Hero" opposite Sunny Deol . Although the film has been assessed average, which went on to become one of the highest grossing non movies of that year. Priyanka Chopra 's next film was "Andaaj" opposite Akshay Kumar.
"Andaaj" was a successful film at the box office and Priyanka was nominated for Filmfare Best Actress Award . His next release was "Aitraaz", which is a remake of the Demi Moore - hindi Starker "Disclosure". Prianka won the Filmfare Best Villain Award for his performance in " Aitraaz".
