The 'Welcome 2' directed by Anees Bjmi appearing in 2007 's smash hit 'Welcome' is the sequel. 'Welcome' was played by Katrina Kaif in the lead actress Asin and the role it can play. However, it has not been officially confirmed yet.

Asin's first Tamil language film was M.Kumaran son of Mahalakshmi, in which she starred with Jayam Ravi. Amma Nanna O Tamila Ammayi Asin's character in his own film also starred in the remake movie, here's the original film's Tamil girlafter returning, she appeared in Ullam Ketkumae.
